Today...

...was a good day. {sigh}
To some it was just an ordinary day, but to me.... it was a special kind of day in it's own little way.
Two of my nieces (Allison & Sophia) spent the night at our house. It's always so much fun when the nieces can sleep over! When the nephews are here, they just stay with my brothers, but when the nieces are here they want to be around me! {smiles}

We started out our day with some sunshine and swimming.... and a little bit of trampoline.... ;) And pretty much did that all afternoon, too....

We also hung some towels on the line.

And to end the beautiful day, we went for a walk. Does a bike, scooter and roller blades count as a "walk"?

Ya know, they're always saying the corn is "knee high by the 4th of July", but it's always so much taller..... or at least to me it is...

We picked "sugar flowers"...... ;)

We raced down the hill.... obviously I was losing... ;)

I am so thankful to live in the country. There's really nothing better....

Happy Tuesday Folks!

May in June?!

Yes, these are a bunch of pictures from May. I wanted to do a post on "what May looked like" but my laptop was having some sick days, so he was pretty much sleeping it off for a few days. And no, I wasn't exactly the happiest about it, but thankfully Caitlin came to the rescue and healed him! ;) So with that being said, (and dragged out, I might add) here is what May looked like at our house in pictures.....

Our plants in the greenhouse......

Planting, making more 'beds', planting, weeding, planting, watering and... planting. =] ...

We went to our Grandma's house for Mother's day...
And had ice cream. =] I'm not sure who was talking, but it looks pretty interesting...

Poor Jake, someday he will be as tall as me....
Grandma's dog, Lucy.
Air softing buddies! No worries folks, she didn't even get shot once!

Jake is really good with wood. This is his latest creation. I'm hoping he'll make SWEET and HOME next. ;)

And there you have it.... our May happenings!
God bless and enjoy your week rejoicing in HIM!!!

He will stand before kings....

Caleb-- the Faithful gardener, weed-er, water-er.

Caleb wants to be a farmer and/or a mechanic when he grows up. He hopes to work on big tractors. John Deere, I'm sure! ;)

He goes out there every morning to check on the carrots, making sure they're coming up like they should be. He checks to make sure the straw's placed just right around the tomatoes. He's extremely diligent with the gardens.

I love you Caleb.... and you're growing up too fast!

"Do you see a man who excels in his work?
He will stand before kings;
He will not stand before unknown men."

~My Weekend~

It's been so crazy busy lately that I haven't been able to post about all the happenings around here! ;)
This past weekend a friend of mine invited me to go trail riding with her.... Absolutely! Of course I would! So two of my brothers--Caleb and Ben--and I stayed by our grandparents for the weekend because they live just minutes from Melissa's house.
I just have one thing to say---  If you have never been trail riding before...... YOU ARE MISSING OUT!!!
I was introduced to trail riding last year and I was immediately addicted. And there's no going back. Ever.=]

We're Italian.
(my first and last name kinda give that one away though.... just sayin'.;) Being Italian is the greatest! I feel bad for those of you who aren't.

So pasta is kind of a big thing for us. Every Sunday, since I can remember, my family has had pasta. While we stayed at our grandparents... we had pasta. =]

          My grandpa--who thinks he's in the Mafia. Or was, rather.... ;)

And the delicious finished product!!

Ahhh yes, and there you have it folks.... my lovely weekend! =]
A very long and extended picture post coming to a blog near you.   ........soon....
