This post.....

...is in honor of Caitlin.
Today Caitlin left for Mexico. She will be gone for 5 weeks, and I won't be seeing her until the end of March because of both of our schedules.. =/
I cannot wait to hear about her trip! The warm weather.... the difference between the two cultures.... the amazing things that God will do.... seeing her fabulous pictures, which I'm sure she'll be taking! ;)...
So, Caitlin.... I just want to let you know that you will definitely be missed! I'll be praying for you... I love you.

"Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank my God, making mention of you always in my prayers."

I am....

...so thankful!
I am so thankful for each one of the young people (and old!! ..er.) who are on staff here. I am so thankful for the encouragement that they are to me and the testimonies that I see everyday in their lives. Whether you realize it or not, you are constantly living out a testimony. And what you allow, defines your character. Think about that one..... it's very true! The things you see other people around you allow in their lives can either make the person, or break the person. So... what are you allowing in your life that is defining your character? Is it Christ-like? Will in honor Him and bring glory to our Heavenly Father, or is it  that "one little thing that made you happy for a few minutes and then the thrill was gone" kind of thing? Nothing is better than choosing God. Nothing. It may be a little hard, but God doesn't call us to just breeze through life. Yes, He wants you to be at peace with everyone, and I don't mean that you should have conflict and disaster ALL the time. No, I mean, are you giving anything up for Christ, or are you hording all these things that are hindering you from having the right relationship with our Heavenly Father?

God is so good! I see the works of His hands everyday. He works in mighty ways, but He also works in still, quiet ways. And those quiet ways make SUCH an impact on those who take notice to see His works! These past few days God has really been working in my heart. It's been hard, yes, but through it all God has been faithful! He always is! No matter what I do, no matter how many times I mess up and stumble, He is always there to help me. And thankfully for me, His mercies are new each morning! So all in all....

“Prayer is not a preparation for work, it is the work. Prayer is not preparation for the battle, it is the battle” -Oswald Chambers

So many times we pray before the matter, but then seem to forget about it DURING the work or the battle. Yet, prayer IS the work and it IS the battle! It is your spirit communicating with God!! The Almighty Father!  It amazes me that we can get so close to God.....
I had read this quote a while back and thought it was really good and so true, but I didn't fully  and completely understand it until Caleb's brain surgery. There were so many people praying for Caleb and our family before during and now after the surgery, that I couldn't even count them if I tried! I am so thankful to each and everyone of you who prayed for him and our family!! May God richly bless you all!!

~} Some Encouragement for the day {~

"In the rush and noise of life, as you have intervals, step home within yourselves and be still. Wait upon God, and feel His good presence; this will carry you evenly through your day's business." ---William Penn

Dear Jake,

I would just like to let you know how much I appreciate you. You have a true servants heart. You are always willing to do work and you do all things faithfully, working hard until your job is completed. You can be extremely hilarious at times, and you can usually always make me laugh! ;) You've got a great sense of humor!
Thank you for taking care of Shelby while I'm gone. Thank you for diligently keeping the stall clean, for always making sure her water bucket is full, and for keeping her full of hay! :-) Jake, you're starting to become a young man, not just my 'little' brother. :) May you keep looking Upward as you move onward.... I love you.

I love you little Bro!

Love, Gianna
