Are you a bond servant of Jesus Christ, or are you just a churchgoer, enslaved to your own whims and desires?
We’re always saying how we want to be fully set apart for Christ. We want Him to be our all in all. We want to find our fulfillment and satisfaction in Him.But all too often, these desires are nothing more than good Christian sentiments that quickly fall by the wayside as soon as a thrilling, exciting, the newest and greatest "thing" (whatever it may be) comes our way.
In this day and age it’s not about being a living sacrifice for Christ anymore; it’s about finding your heart’s desires and living your best life. We’ve been trying to glean all the benefits of Christ while avoiding the cross.
And when we are desiring these little whims of our hearts, we often hear the “phrase” from others around us—“well, God knows the desires of your heart, and He will fulfill them.” Well, to be quite frank, He will only fulfill those desires if they are glorifying to HIM! The Lord will put desires in our hearts and fulfill them. But when we put our own desires and wants in our heart, they crowd out the Lord's desires, and hinder us from having an intimate relationship with Him.
God will bring you to a place in your life (wherever/whatever it may be) that is going to glorify Him the most. And if you are discontent where you are at, complaining about the situations around you, ignoring the promptings from the Spirit, and continually wanting something more for yourself….. then He’s going to keep you there until He has been glorified in the greatest possible way. IF... He has been glorified with a thankful, submissive, humble, grateful and obedient heart.. Only then, will He move you on to do greater works for Him.
--May we have a continually growing relationship with our Heavenly Father, striving to serve and live out HIS purpose and HIS will and not our own! God bless...

I've really been missing my sisters!
So I was clicking through my pictures in picasa and came across these..... =] They're at least two years old, but they bring a whole load of memories!

~`+`~~`+`~~`+`~~`+`~~`+`~
"I have known unsophisticated men and women who knew little more than their Bibles. I would rather sit at their feet and learn the wisdom that falls from their lips than listen to the man well-versed in philosophy, science, and even theology if he does not know anything about the Word of God."

I {heart} my Familia!
I am so very blessed!
I never really realized how important or how special my family was until I came to HQ. I mean, they've always been special and we're all really close, but you seriously don't realize it until you're away from them for a while. Thankfully I only live about an hour and half away, so if I get REALLY missing them I could possibly just go home for the weekend or something.
This past weekend going home was sooo good. I can't even describe it. Pulling up our driveway just made me smile and anticipation was at its max! I couldn't wait to see everyone again. To see our house, to see my horse, to see our wood stove, our dining room table, our living room...... everything. My insides were running in the house before my feet ever stepped foot onto the porch! I love my family and our home. There's nothing better than eating a meal with them, talking with them. And it's sad, but I now have to "catch up" with them! But even that was fun.
I never noticed how much I took for granted when I was still at home. I took talking to my parents for granted, talking with my siblings, having our meals with everyone around the table. Even the little things, like saying goodnight to mom and dad. And the funny thing is, that even waiting in line for the shower wasn't bad, it was like....aww, I remember doing this every morning! Everything,.... was special. And then on the car ride back here, I started thinking about it all. Why am I so blessed? There's only one reason.....
Because God is Good.

Ahh the life at home.....
Since a picture is worth 1 thousand words, tonight I've decided to say 12 thousand words....=]
There's no order to them. They're pretty random, actually. But.... they're pictures of what I miss...

This weekend I'm going home....! {big, happy grin}
